Quick Wellness Tips

  • Get plenty of rest! Try to get 8 hours of sleep every night.
  • Exercise regularly. Try to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity at least 5 days a week. Start with 10 minute walks and see how much you can do each day.
  • Weigh yourself daily. Those who weigh themselves everyday tend to weigh less than those who don’t. This will also help alert you to any significant weight gain or weight loss that may be an indicator of a serious health condition that you need to speak to your provider about.
  • Stay hydrated! Drink at least 8 cups of water a day, or as directed by your doctor, for optimal health.
  • Make half of your grains whole grains.
  • Fill half of your plate with fruits and vegetables.
  • Eat lean meats and proteins.
  • Eat breakfast every day!
