It may look like a spa, but it’s actually L.A.’s newest diagnostic Advanced Imaging Center, meeting all your MRI and PET/CT needs — all in one remarkable place. In this extraordinary setting, you’ll find some of the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available anywhere. This innovative technology gives our physicians better information, which often means they can begin life-saving measures sooner. Our Advanced Imaging Center offers two of the most sophisticated pieces of diagnostic imaging equipment found anywhere: the GE Discovery PET/64-slice CT and the GE Signa 3.0T MRI. Because of the breakthrough image clarity and capabilities that these offer, physicians are able to provide more accurate diagnoses earlier in the disease process, often resulting in better outcomes for patients. In addition, the department provides women’s imaging – breast imaging, osteoporosis scanning (bone density or DEXA), breast ultrasound, PET-CT (a fusion or combined imaging using both CT and nuclear medicine for specific cancer and heart conditions). The department uses medical informatics (computerized processing, storage, and viewing) to ensure timely and accurate interpretation and reporting of studies.
