These visits are different than a typical appointment with your primary care provider. They are more of a conversation to find any risks to your health. Pain management takes many forms, and in the last 10 years, we’ve made substantial efforts to increase opioid safety and approach pain management more holistically. Our latest partnership with CO*RE REMS will ensure every Adventist Health provider is certified as a safe opioid prescriber if prescription pain medications are the best option for a patient.

As a faith-based, nonprofit hospital, our first concern is always for our patients. It’s important to let you know that after seven months of negotiations, Adventist Health was unable to reach a fair agreement to continue as an in-network participating provider with Aetna Health of California. Our contract with Aetna terminated at 12:01 a.m. on May 1, 2023, at Adventist Health Rideout.
